The Center for Academic Development Services (CADS) Summer Program is a four-week residential program designed to help students preparing for the freshman year of study at UB understand and adjust to the university's environment and culture.
Attendance is mandatory for all students accepted into the Educational Opportunity Program. It is a highly structured and intensive program centered around academic course offerings that will strengthen your reading, writing, mathematics, and communication skills. In addition to the academic courses you are required to attend, we also have arranged a full schedule of recreational and social activities.
During the program you will become familiar with the campus, the community and a wide range of academic and non-academic resources. You will also be introduced to the performance expectations, workload and behavioral strategies that are important aspects of college life and academic success.
Students enrolled in the 2012 CADS Summer Program must complete Summer Program forms. All forms requiring signatures must be mailed back to:
Forms that don't require a signature can be completed and emailed as an attachment to askcads@buffalo.edu If you have questions about the forms please contact the EOP office at 716-645-3072.
Mark your calendar for UB’s Opening Weekend which kicks off the fall semester. We’ll have a picnic, tours, resource fairs, and lots more for you and your family to see, do, and experience. Watch your mailbox over the summer for more information about Opening Weekend.
